Leaflet Design..

In the hope that we can secure the No 6 boathouse I have created a design for the leaflet to advertise an exhibition for the venue. Just a rough version to get an idea of how it could look. The project we are drawing the images from is the documentary project based on territories which is where the temporary name has come from.

Ideas Form..

As a large group of about 17 people we formulated lots of ideas of where we could hold the exhibition, such as above a restaurant, in a cinema, in a pub, in a music venue (which I thought could be a great idea) but we ended up vouching for the cinema option. There is an independent cinema called No.6 Boathouse which we have managed to get contact numbers for (thanks to our large volume of people in our group..) with a large screen that we are hoping to create a slideshow style presentation of images on the cinema screen. Thinking along the same lines we will also contact theatres such as the Kings Theatre on Albert Road. With Albert Road being a place that seems to attract artistic people with the music venue Wedgewood Rooms and plenty of qwerky shops it should be easy to attract a crowd to a photographic exhibition.

Introduction.. (what is the point of this blog??)

This blog is recording the progress of my University photography project. The project is to organise an exhibition to display our work that we have been doing in on a separate project on the theme of territories within documentary practices. Here I will record everything we are doing along the way to hopefully get to a final exhibition, beginning with our initial session of generating ideas for the project!
